A long but glorious day, as we crossed from Devon into Somerset, with part of our ride passing along the Exe Valley (hey, road planners, more roads along valleys please).
The long arboreal downhill into Tiverton was fantastic, and overall the pedalling was gentle and uneventful. We even found time for a particularly delicious caramel slice.
The delightfully ramshackle Street YHA was our home for the night, in amongst a pack of JoGLErs (heading south, John o’ Groats to Land’s End) and a few other LEJoGers (heading north). A splendid little place, with Glastonbury Tor just round the corner – that’s Daf photographing it below.
Well done Somerset.
